Pre-school Gymnastics
Pre-school Gymnastics Classes
We offer Pre-school Gymnastics classes for children from 18 months to 5 years. Please find below details of all the pre-school sessions we offer here at Starlight. All options will develop the children in line with the foundation stepping stones. The award schemes cover locomotion, balance, spring and rotation.
All sessions need to be booked in advance. If you are unable to sign up to regular classes then we do run Pay & Play Under 5s Freeplay sessions every Sunday at 10:00am – 10:45am. These can be booked via via https://bookwhen.com/starlighttgc .

Freeplay
This is the first recommended class where we have a qualified coach in attendance. The coach will layout various equipment for the children to use and will be able to guide parents to the various uses to build a foundation in gymnastics. These sessions allow the children to get used to the environment, equipment and coach.
Parent & child
Usually the children will be looking for more structure before moving into this session. The recommended average age will be around 3 years old.
This will be a guided session with the coach whereby the whole group will be instructed on the various stations in the gym which will alternate each week.
This will follow the Little Gem National Gymnastics Awards and include both trampoline and gymnastics.
Rising 4’s
Once the child is ready to leave their parents and go into independent Gymnastics classes they will progress to session, our coach will be able to advise when they feel your child is ready. Parents can watch via the CCTV screen we have in our parents room.
The coach will lead the children through the activities continuing with the Little Gem awards and progressing them towards Junior Gem scheme.

10:00am – 10:45am : Freeplay
11:00am – 11:45am : Parent & Child
12:00pm – 12:45pm : Independent Rising 4’s

£26 for 1x weekly session per month
Keep Hydrated
Don’t forget to bring a water bottle – its thirsty work!
Clothing
Sports appropriate clothing i.e. leggings, shorts, t-shirt. No buttons, zips, jewellery or jeans.
